AN INTERNATIONAL SUCCESS THAT HAS ALREADY “LIVED” MORE THAN 365 DAYS IN OUR COUNTRY.
'STOMP', the British group that creates music with everyday objects, returns to Portugal for more than a dozen shows between Lisbon and Porto. The masters of percussion and humor perform from March 5th to 31st at Teatro Tivoli BBVA and from April 4th to 6th at Coliseu Porto Ageas.
Originality and creativity are already a calling card of this group of artists who see rhythm and sound in everyday objects, such as rubbish bins, brooms, matchboxes and even supermarket trolleys and dishwashers. The pace is mind-blowing and frenetic and promises to leave no one indifferent.
'STOMP' thus presents the public with a show full of choreographed and synchronized movements down to the smallest detail, with a soundtrack that dignifies the art of the eight artists on stage and pays homage to the diversity of musical genres that exist in the world.
The joy is contagious and no one remains indifferent to the quality of the visual and sound performance, which is also drawn by the dance movements of the dancers, musicians and actors who make up the cast of 'STOMP'.
Music and humor are the artistic language of this show, which captivates the audience through the frenetic rhythm that emerges from the most unusual object and the artists' interactions with the audience, challenging them to enter the show with the rhythm of the claps.
Created in Brighton, United Kingdom, by Luke Cressweel and Steve McNicholas in 1991, the show 'STOMP' was presented for the first time at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and has since toured the world with performances full of rhythm and energizing.
