The Swan Lake

Swan Lake is a story of love and betrayal, where good triumphs over evil.

For over a century it has been enchanting the public becoming an icon of Romanticism. Considered the most spectacular of classical ballets, its choreography demands high technical skill from the dancers as well as representation, particularly in the confrontation of the duality of the pureness of the White Swan and the deception and intrigue demonstrated in the Black Swan's character danced by the same ballerina.

The main highlights are the Grand Pas de Deux’s, demonstrating virtuosity and drama by the main soloists in the II and III acts of the ballet. The prestige and timeless notoriety of the work, premiered on February 27, 1877, at the BOLSHOI THEATER in Moscow are due to the alliance between the music of Pyotr Tchaikovsky and the expressive choreography of Marius Petipa which, relates the human body to the movements of a swan, revealing his genius, his choreographic potential and artistic creativity.

The Russian Classical Ballet presents a classic production with scenographic elements of incredible realism and costumes designed and created with sumptuous detail.
